Open Question: Advice on tax refund? Emergency tax code.?

I have been on the emergency tax code for a while, since I started working.I've had a look at the HMRC site, and I'm a bit confused, there is a form for claiming overpaid tax but it appears to be only for the recently unemployed; I think I need to fill out a P46 to correct my tax code but I am unsure as to how I receive my tax refund (I am wiithin the "personal allowance"-it is only a part time job) and I would also like to know who to give my P46 to, do I send it to HMRC or do I hand it in to my employer? Bearing in mind I have not switched jobs, I just haven't realised I need to sort this out. So my question is, which form needs filling out, who do I give the form, and how will I get my refund as a result of this?
Many thanks!!
